Take Action: Pressure Campaigns
Coordinated Action. Tangible Results.
Time For Pushback
Pressure Campaigns are coordinated actions designed to directly challenge the power of corporations, governments, and systems that exploit the people. These campaigns can take many forms, from nationwide or regional economic and labor blackouts to targeted boycotts and financial divestments. By strategically withholding our labor and dollars, we create disruptions too significant for the system to ignore—forcing attention, accountability, and change.
Beyond economic action, Pressure Campaigns also include an active presence at coordinated events. This can mean showing up at protests, marching in solidarity, or speaking on behalf of the Blackout The System movement to elevate our collective voice. These moments of visibility and unity not only amplify our message but also inspire others to join. Together, these actions serve as a powerful reminder: when the people unite, the system loses its grip.

COORDINATED ACTION
Blackout Waves
We organize announced dates—called Blackout Waves—when we call upon people not only across our country, but across the world, to withhold labor, spending, and financial support from major corporations. Each wave includes a set of specific actions, allowing individuals to participate in ways that align with their own circumstances.
Blackout Waves serve two powerful purposes:
-
To create economic disruptions too large for the system to ignore.
-
To unite us in coordinated action—demonstrating our collective power while also helping us break free from convenience-driven consumer habits and become more intentional about where and how we spend our money, even long after each wave concludes.
Protest Presence
One of the core principles of the Blackout The System movement is UNITY. Together, we hold immense power. That’s why we believe all peaceful, legal actions of resistance have value—and we encourage collaboration and mutual support among movements and organizations that share the same goals.
Protests and marches are powerful opportunities not only to stand for what you believe in but also to amplify the visibility of Blackout The System. Engaging attendees by sharing information, handing out flyers, or displaying signage helps spread awareness—and widespread awareness is the first step to building a stronger, unstoppable movement.
Protest Speakers
Public protest is a vital platform for revealing the real fault line in our society: this is not left versus right — it’s the wealthy few versus everyone else. When speakers bring this truth to the streets, they cut through partisan noise and help people see the common cause that crosses political lines. Protest speeches translate abstract grievances into a clear, shared diagnosis — that greed concentrates power and wealth — and they invite listeners to choose solidarity over division.
That visibility matters. Every microphone, march, and megaphone spreads the message that this movement is about reclaiming power for all people, not promoting one party or another. Speaking publicly about Blackout The System turns private frustration into collective action, draws in allies from every background, and accelerates the cultural shift we need to reclaim our communities, our rights, and our democracy.
