Bringing Resources Together
Challenging times can bring severe hardships to many. Whether economic downturns, natural disasters or geopolitical conflicts, we may all need help at one point or another. We can't solely rely on governmental safety nets or institutional support. When this happens on a large scale, communities tend to rally around one another and create supportive solutions. Regardless if it's government programs or community-based assistance, these resources aren't always easy to find when you need them. Blackout The System wants to bring as many of these support systems & resources together in one place - a searchable database.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! We're crowdsourcing information for any assistance programs, resources or mutual aid networks - so we're asking everyone to contribute information. These resources can be in any category - food assistance, transportation, housing relief and health services are just a few examples. It can also be either formal government or institutional programs, emergency services, church or non-profit support, local community-sponsored assistance or mutual aid networks. The more resources of assistance that we can gather and make available, the better prepared and resilient our communities will be.
